Olivia Olson: Big Ten Freshman of the Year
Mar 11, 2025Olivia Olson was named the Big Ten Women's Basketball Freshman of the Year for the 2024-25 season.

Olson started all 32 games for the Wolverines as a true freshman and led the team in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game for the season. Most recently, she helped the team make it to the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Olson eclipsed 20 points in each of the first two tournament games, and helped her team set a school record for most points scored in a Big Ten tournament game, in a 98-71 win over a ranked Maryland team.

Olivia was also named 2nd team all-conference in the Big Ten last week and the Wolverines will now be looking ahead to the NCAA basketball tournament, which begins on March 19. Brackets will be released for the tournament on Sunday, March 16.
